We wish to express our thanks to the many churches and other groups around the country which have joined this ministry and adopted the Fan Mail campaign as a means of sharing the "Good News" with our young military men and women all across the U.S. and around the world. Many who do not ordinarily attend chapel activities regularly will take cards and letters sent through Friends of Our Troops, whether distributed by the chaplain or by others.

• This campaign supplements established denominational programs for ministry to our military [since no denomination has chaplains in all the places the mail is sent, the Fan Mail campaign is even more far-reaching];
• Is an exciting project for youth ministries, Sunday Schools, CCD classes, women's ministries--any and all groups within the church (as well as military chapel groups!);
• Can serve as a unique home-missions project;
• And is a particularly outstanding ministry activity for high school and college student groups, since many of our military men and women, barely out of high school, are college-age.
