While many classes, campus groups and schools around the country participate annually, the "Fan Mail for the Troops" campaign is also an excellent activity for youth groups which are ordinarily outside the school setting: Boys & Girls Clubs, Camp Fire, 4-H, Junior Grange, Scouts, etc. Thanks are extended to the veterans groups/auxiliaries, churches, etc. which sponsor the participation of various youth groups.

Special thanks to all who joined in the most recent campaign, in view of the atmosphere which existed during that period.

In real life, Sarge would have received a package stuffed with fan mail (cards and letters)
to share with his buddies--and even with Beetle!
